Civil engineers are responsible stewards for America's structures, highways, wastewater facilities, dams and many other infrastructure facilities that we use every day. Civil engineers work in almost all aspects of engineering, but the main specialties include: environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering and water resources engineering.
