Section meetings are typically held on the third or fourth Thursdays of September, November, January, March and May. The regular section meetings usually consist of a social hour, dinner and a speaker presenting a topic of potential interest to ASCE members. The September meeting is sponsored by our Student Chapters and the meeting location alternates between Bucknell University and Penn State University. The May meeting is the Section’s social night which includes casual activities intended to appeal to both members and their spouses.

Other activities are scheduled throughout the year on both a social and professional level. The Younger Member’s group consisting of members ages 35 and younger frequently meets throughout the year. Other functions have been held with related professional societies including the American Society of Highway Engineers, the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers and the Engineers Week Council. Members are encouraged to attend activities and participate in Section functions.
