Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty Position -
CIVIL ENGINEERING
Penn State Harrisburg, School of Science, Engineering, and Technology invites applications for a part-time faculty position in Civil Engineering and Structural Design & Construction Engineering Technology Programs, effective August 2012. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in engineering mechanics, material labs, structures, and surveying. The minimum qualification is a M.S. degree in civil engineering or other related engineering discipline plus relevant experience. Applicants with Ph.D. degree, preferred.

Traffic Project Manager
Professional Engineer (8-10 yrs experience) with project management experience and capable to lead/mentor staff. Business development and proposal experience a plus, but not required. Immediate projects will involve assisting with ADA ramp reviews. Position will expand, but not be limited, to preparation of traffic impact studies, feasibility assessments, corridor studies, intersection analyses, access and circulation studies, design and preparation of HOP permit plans, traffic signal design, maintenance of traffic plans preparation and preparation of pavement and signing plans. Working knowledge of HCS and Synchro required. Must have strong familiarity with PennDOT/Federal standards and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
Traffic Engineer
Dawood Engineering, Inc. a rapidly growing consulting engineering firm is seeking a Traffic Engineer for our Philadelphia Regional office. This individual should have an E.I.T. and a minimum of 2 to 4 years experience with traffic studies, traffic signal design, traffic control, signing and pavement marking design, and ADA curb ramp design. Traffic Engineering Designer
E.I.T. or P.E. with experience in traffic/highway design and studies. Tasks will include, but not limited, to preparation of traffic impact studies, feasibility assessments, corridor studies, intersection analyses, access and circulation studies, design and preparation of HOP permit plans, traffic signal design, maintenance of traffic plans preparation and preparation of pavement and signing plans. Proficiency of MS Office, AutoCAD or Microstation required. Working knowledge of HCS, SYNCHRO, Simtraffic, Autoturn, Guidsign and sidra is preferred but not required. Traffic Engineering Intern
Dawood is looking for a dedicated, energetic student who is interested in working in a collaborative professional consulting environment that provides traffic engineering services to clients in both the public and private sector.
Immediate projects will involve assisting with reviews of ADA Ramp designs and HOP applications. Other opportunities include preparation of traffic impact studies, feasibility assessments, corridor studies, intersection analyses, access and circulation studies, design and preparation of HOP permit plans, traffic signal design.
Opportunity:
Learn and develop technical and analytical skills in: road and highway design, transit operations, intersection capacity analysis (using the Highway Capacity Manual, and Synchro), traffic forecasting and queuing analyses, traffic signal optimization and design.
Skills may be applied to a wide variety of projects, such as community transportation studies, municipal master plan studies, transit studies, traffic studies for new residential and commercial developments, and traffic safety studies.

My client is a small and rapidly growing civil engineering firm and due to growth in their energy division, they are seeking a qualified Civil Project Engineer for their central Pennsylvania Branch office. You will manage and design commercial and institutional site design projects and also those within the energy sector. You will also assist with client development and management so the ability to deal with people is essential to this role.
My client is looking for an entrepreneurial individually with experience and expertise with all aspects of site development projects and current regulations. Position also requires strong computer skills with AutoCad experience a plus.
Requirements:
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 5-8 years professional experience (Not looking for PM level)
- Pennsylvania State Professional Engineering (PE) license (or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months required)

- Experience with Energy or gas sector engineering projects a plus

STAFF ENGINEER

Advanced knowledge and implementation of solid waste regulations are a plus. Experience in landfill gas management, LFGTE projects, mechanically stabilized earth berms, understanding of geosynthetic applications, leachate management, and storm water control are desired. Candidate must have the ability to produce comprehensive permitting and construction drawings and manage multiple projects. A Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and PE license are required. An MS degree is a plus.
